This is the part where I get to talk about me…I’m a graduate student studying a PhD in History, the later middle ages to be exact. My research is leaning towards English monastic towns, particularly St Albans in Hertfordshire. I will keep you all updated on that but this blog will be all about what I want to do after I have my PhD (if that ever happens!). I love museums, visiting them and with any luck working in one of them. Being based near Washington DC temporarily definitely has its advantages…the Library of Congress and of course, the Smithsonian museums. I want to share my experience of the museums, of the exhibitions, of my experience job hunting and I will probably ramble on about anything else I see fit! So I hope you can sit back and enjoy some blog posts and maybe inspire just one person to have a look in a museum, library or garden.
